CaIoT Refund & Credit Policy
Credit-based refund rules for CaIoT services.
Effective Date: November 27, 2023
Last Updated: July 6, 2026
Version: 2.0
1. Scope
This Refund & Credit Policy applies to prepaid credits, subscriptions, pay-as-you-go usage, promotional credits, marketplace sessions, device access, and related CaIoT purchases. It is incorporated into the Terms of Service.
2. General No-Refund Policy
Except where required by applicable law or expressly agreed in writing, purchases are final and non-refundable. CaIoT credits are intended only for use within the CaIoT Platform, have no cash value, are not stored-value instruments, and cannot be redeemed, exchanged, transferred, or converted into cash.
3. Replacement Credits
If a verified CaIoT platform failure materially prevents use of a paid session, CaIoT may, at its sole discretion, issue replacement credits, restore affected credits, extend credit validity, or provide another equivalent platform remedy. Cash refunds are not the default remedy.
4. Device or Network Issues
Devices may be contributed by independent third parties or partners. Device availability, connectivity, power, condition, OS behaviour, app compatibility, carrier availability, and network quality may vary. CaIoT may provide replacement credits where appropriate, but is not liable for indirect losses, lost business, lost data, failed tests, or consequential damages.
5. Promotional Credits
Promotional, bonus, trial, referral, grant, or free credits have no cash value, may expire, may be limited to certain products, and may be revoked if obtained through abuse, fraud, duplicate accounts, policy violations, or technical error.
6. Subscriptions
If subscriptions are offered, cancellation stops future renewals but does not automatically refund already-paid periods, unless required by law or expressly stated in a separate written agreement.
7. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
Chargebacks, payment reversals, failed payments, or suspected payment abuse may result in suspension, termination, credit cancellation, payout holds, or recovery of outstanding amounts. Users should contact CaIoT support before initiating payment disputes so the issue can be reviewed.
8. Taxes and Currency
Taxes, duties, foreign exchange fees, bank fees, and payment processor fees are generally non-refundable unless required by law or returned by the relevant provider.
9. Mandatory Rights
Nothing in this Policy limits consumer rights or statutory remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited under applicable law.
